And how true is this.....

How many times have you felt like saying this in a cafe. Too many times to recall I reckon. A good reason why a tip is not expected in Australia but is for any small service or non-service in the US.

A telling indictment on modern government

Todays cartoon is as much a truism about governments today as it is about the Kingdom of Id. Never trust someone who is good at their job!.

There's a Fly in My Swill

This was the fifth book in the Coronet Series of Wizard of Id collections and was first published in 1967. This is available from Amazon using the link on the right.

As could be guessed from the title of the book there is a heavier emphasis than usual on Spook and Turnkey, however the strip below is one of my favourites from this collection.

New Book - The Best of Wizard of Id

Fresh out at the end of last year was this new big Best of Book.

This is a wonderful collection of Wizard of Id comic strips, specially selected by the family of the late, great Reuben Award winning, Johnny Hart taken from 25 years worth of best newspaper strips of the 20th century.

This collection was only recently published and has over 240 pages of classic strips from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Favourites are when a peasant just before he is about to hang, asks, "I suppose community service is out of the question?". Or the lackey who brings the king a bunch of hate mail containing bomb threats. The king sighs, "Nothing from my sweet old granny?" The lackey answers, "They're all from your sweet old granny."

It's available from Amazon!
